We will also post paid positions on this page.  All interested applicants must fill out an application and complete a background check. Applications can be picked up at the Recreation Department office (120 E. Lake Park Place).

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteer Coaches - .5-8 hrs/ week - LMRD is looking always looking for energetic, kid friendly volunteers interested in coaching youth sports.  Coaches will be given a coaches packet filled with coaching materials and sport specific information to help give them some guidance.  All interested  individuals must fill out a Volunteer Application and have a background check performed prior to participation.  Coaching is a great way to give back to your community and make a positive impact on the lives of our youth.   

 

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

 

Youth Football Supervisor – 11 - 13.5 hr week / 6 weeks - The supervisor will primarily act as on-site supervisor of both the Youth Tackle Football and the NFL Flag programs.  Responsibilities include set up/take down of fields, assist volunteer as needed, check in refs, instruct K/1 Mini League program and other duties as assigned. Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma, First aid/CPR certified, experience in customer service and strong communications skills.

Pay Rate: 10.50/hr

NFL FLAG Football Official- 2-4 hr week / 6 weeks- Must be at least 15 years old. The officials will work as a team to help enforce NFL FLAG rules and the LMRD league specific rules.  Interested candidates must attend a mandatory training prior to the start of the season.  Candidates must have a considerable level of football knowledge.  Responsibilities include game time management, rule enforcement and interpretation, game time decisions among other duties. Dependability, self-motivator, ability to work independently and good decision making skills are some of the qualities the candidate should possess.

Pay Rate: Youth Officials $15/Game  Adult Officials $20/hr

 

Youth Soccer Official- 2-4 hr week / 6 weeks- Must be at least 15 years old. The officials will work as a team to help enforce LMRD league specific soccer rules.  Candidates must have a considerable level of soccer knowledge.  Responsibilities include game time management, rule enforcement and interpretation, game time decisions among other duties. Dependability, self-motivator, ability to work independently and good decision making skills are some of the qualities the candidate should possess.

Pay Rate: $10/game

Youth Basketball Supervisor - 3.75 hr week/ 6 weeks -  LMRD is looking for an energetic and kid friendly individual who is knowledgeable in the rules and fundamentals of basketball.  Supervisors will be responsible for setting up, organizing warm ups, managing time, assisting adult volunteer coaches, teaching skills and taking down after each clinic date. This program takes place on Saturday mornings. 

Pay Rate: $10/hr

Youth Basketball Tournament Supervisor- 8-10 hr week/ 4-8 weeks- This supervisory position is for our youth travel program.  The responsibilities of this position are to ensure that the weekend youth travel tournaments are run successfully.  Some of the duties include Set up of game court and concessions stand, checking in of officials and refs, onsite supervision of teams and fans, clean up of facilities, reporting of scores to recreation department staff, handling of money and operation of concessions stand, as well as other duties. This position requires a high school diploma and First aid/CPR certified.  

Pay Rate: 10.50/hr
