NON-Affiliated Programs

The following programs are community based organizations and or clubs that support our community by providing activities for community members.   These programs are not affiliated with the recreation department  or with the Lake Mills Area School District. Please contact these groups directly for season dates, registration dates,  and general information. 

 

Adult Co-ed Summer Sand Volleyball- This program is run through the City of Lake Mills Parks Department. Open to all participants 18 and up.  Form your own team, league games are played on Wednesday and Thursday nights at Sandy Beach. Games start late May.

Girls on the Run (GOTR)- Through fitness and fun, it aims to educate and empower preteens girls for a lifetime of self-respect, respect for others, healthy living, and positive choices. The program pairs lessons that focus on physical, emotional, and social wellbeing with fun games, workouts, and running. GOTR runs in the spring.

Girls Tri-County Traveling Basketball -  Tri-County traveling basketball program participates in the Tri-County basketball league.  It is open to all girls grades 4-6th(current year).  This league runs in the Fall

Glacial Drumlin Youth Mountain Biking Club-  Provide juniors who have the desire to mountain bike with the coaching and camaraderie that will help them achieve both competitive and non-competitive cross-country mountain biking goals in a safe and enjoyable manner.  Open to boys and girls Ages 8-19.

Glacial Drumlin United soccer club (GDU)-  GDU is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation. Home games are conducted on the Glacial Drumlin Fields (located at the intersection of Hwy. BB Krueger Rd. in the Township of Deerfield (3 miles north-east of Deerfield)) . GDU welcomes players in grades 3rd -8th   from Cambridge, Cottage Grove, Deerfield, Edgerton, Lake Mills, Marshall and Waterloo.

Lake Mills Tennis AssociationThe Lake Mills Tennis Association is offering an opportunity for kids ages 5–8, 9-10 and 11-14 to learn and enjoy the game of tennis. Kids get a solid introduction to tennis basics using equipment designed just for kids. All team tennis sessions are located at the Lake Mills High School tennis courts. Participants receive a team t-shirt, tennis racquet and other fun items. Limited full scholarships are available.

Rock Lake Activity Center (RLAC)-  RLAC offers athletic and enrichment programing for youth thru senior citizens.  RLAC hosts many family friendly events and other fun activities for the Lake Mills community.
