I have been blessed to be doing something that I love for over 35 years. I began my career in Milwaukee and moved to this area after marrying my husband. This is the beginning of my 26th year teaching in Lake Mills. I have been a Special Ed. Educator, 5th grade teacher, and now a 6th grade teacher. I am one of the W.E.B. Coordinators at the Middle School. This is the national orientation program we use for the incoming 5th graders and students new to the district.
I have been married to my husband Dan for 25 years. We spend much time with our extended families. I enjoy gardening both flowers and vegetables. I am involved at church. I do a pretty good Donald Duck impression too.
Lake Mills is a wonderful place for education. Many of my colleges and I are passionate about teaching students. How wonderful to have parents and a community that share the importance of education. Parents are involved in their child’s learning and want the best for them. It is such a joy when students learn something especially after they struggle for a while on something. Each year I still become excited for the new class and watching them grow. It has been an honor to be entrusted with students and helping them become who they are meant to be.
