Teaching is my passion. Nothing makes me happier than working with children to better themselves as learners and members of the Lake Mills community.
I've lived in legendary Lake Mills, Wisconsin for the past 25 years with my husband and three children. As a family we love bike riding, swimming, and hanging out around the fire pit with our friends, family, 2 dogs and 1 notorious cat.
I completed my undergraduate degree at Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in Elementary Education / Computer Science. For my Master's degree I attended Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and graduated with a focus in Technology in Education. After college, I went on to teach in the Milwaukee, Oconomowoc, and Waterloo school districts. For the last 20 years I've been happily teaching in the Lake Mills Area School District. I've taught 5th grade, 3rd grade, and most recently I service our English Language Learners at both the Elementary School and Middle School.
Part of my philosophy of education is being a teacher who utilizes the current and appropriate past world events to educate students to become productive, caring, knowledgeable members of society. I believe effort, patience, and integrity are the essential components to being an effective educator. Thus, I am a teacher who listens to students and who tries to find strategies to best fit the individual students' needs.
