The Lake Mills Area School District (LMASD) Board of Education is made up of five elected community members. The standard term for School Board members is three years.
The LMASD School Board meets the second Monday of each month at the Lake Mills High School. Meeting times and room locations are listed on posted Agendas, with Regular Meetings beginning at 7:00 p.m. and most Special Meetings at 6:00 p.m.
Regular Meetings are televised on Charter digital channel 994 and on LMASD YouTube Channel.
LMASD requires all staff members, students, and visitors (including parents and guardians) entering facilities owned or operated by the District and/or attending a District-sponsored event or activity to wear face coverings until further notice unless the circumstances meet one of the exceptions outlined in Section 3.a. of Order #1 from the Office of the Governor. This includes attendance at the Board of Education meetings.
The District will consider requests for an exemption from the requirement to wear face coverings on a medical or religious basis. However, such an exemption request must be supported by written documentation submitted to the District Nurse at the time of the exemption request. Please note that all such exemption requests will be considered and evaluated on a case by case basis; that the District may not be able to grant all such requests; and that designs on face coverings worn in the school buildings and during school-sponsored events must follow staff and student dress code policies. Please note that all Regular Board of Education meetings are recorded and may be viewed virtually if one is unable to comply with the face covering mandate.
