The Lake Mills Area School District (LMASD) Board of Education is made up of five elected community members. The standard term for School Board members is three years.
The LMASD School Board typically meets on the third Monday of each month (unless otherwise noted on the Agenda) at the Lake Mills City Chambers, 200 Water Street. Meeting times and room locations are always listed on the posted Agendas.

As the elected entity charged with governing the Lake Mills Area School District (LMASD), the School Board is responsible to the LMASD community to govern efficiently, effectively, and ethically, as a single unit. The Board’s purpose is to provide visionary and effective governance that ensures the highest quality education for all students, and a welcoming and safe environment for its students and employees.
The Board is dedicated to providing effective oversight by holding the District Administrator accountable to the district’s vision, goals, and policies. Board decisions are guided by the strategic plan, district policies, and governmental regulations. By working collaboratively with the District Administrator and adhering to established policies, the Board strives to support the district’s mission of preparing all of today’s students for tomorrow’s opportunities.

- How: The Director of Business Services will provide financial information and impacts as new non-budgeted items arise regarding the current budget.
- When: Any requested changes or budget modifications.

- The Board will prioritize funds to ensure that all District buildings’ and grounds’ safety needs are addressed.
- How: Educate the community about the November referendum safety priorities.
