Transportation Services for the 2025-2026 School Year

LMASD Families,

Before the end of this year, we would like to take this opportunity to provide the families of Lake Mills Area School District with valuable information regarding student transportation for the 2025-26 school year. If you do not require bus transportation for the next school year, you may disregard the remainder of this letter.

We require ALL families requesting school bus transportation to register. No student(s) will be automatically routed. Registration for bussing is OPEN and due by June 27, 2025. To register for bus transportation, please complete the 2025-26 Transportation Request Form. Any requests received after the deadline will be subject to a waiting period, which may include the first two weeks of the start of the school year.  

Transportation qualifications:

• All students whose primary residence is greater than two miles from the school that they attend are eligible for free transportation.

• Students who reside less than two miles from the school that they attend may elect to register their student for the Contracted Bus Services Program:  

  • $187.50 per family/per semester OR $375.00 per family/per school year

  • Fees will be applied to your oldest student’s Skyward account and must be paid before riding the bus

• Transportation is not provided for students who are open-enrolled.

By requesting transportation services, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to all established policies, procedures, and parental responsibilities outlined in the Transportation Handbook. Families should review the Bus Rider Handbook with their child(ren) before the start of the upcoming school year.  

We will be working on our transportation routes during the summer months to best serve our students and families for a successful school year.
