Mrs. Jamie Everson

College Attended: I attended the University of Wisconsin Platteville for both by Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees.

Degrees Held: I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with two minors in Special Education and Mathematics.  I also earned my Master’s degree in Elementary Education with a certification in Cross-Categorical Special Education. 

Teaching Mission: My mission as a teacher is to discover each student’s strengths and inspire them to reach their fullest potential. I have high expectations for my students both academically and behaviorally.  I am consistent, fair and patient when working with each student. I will work endlessly to understand each student’s academic and emotional level and utilize current research-based teaching strategies and assessments to advance each student to his/her highest level of success in both areas.

I also believe in a strong partnership between teachers and families where communication is consistent, frequent and honest.  I understand parents know their child best and regularly partnering together will ensure each student reaches their highest academic and emotional potential. 

Special Interests: I enjoy spending time with my family riding bikes, going to playgrounds, visiting splash parks & beaches, camping in the living room, reading books, traveling to the Madison zoo & museums, playing backyard baseball, attending Brewer and Mallard baseball games, just to name a few.  I also like to spend time running, walking and golfing.

What I enjoy most about working at Lake Mills Elementary School: Lake Mills Elementary School is a place where we all feel connected – students, staff and parents. It is a place where we have fun, while learning new and challenging subject areas.
