Forensic Accountants combine their accounting knowledge with investigative skills. Forensic Accountants are employed by public accounting firms, consulting firms, law firms, insurance companies, and even the FBI! The LMHS Accounting team competes at the annual Forensic Accounting Competition at Lakeland College in Sheboygan. The high school teams are given a real white collar crime case involving embezzlement. They are to research and analyze the case and present their findings to a panel of judges. This is an overnight trip where students stay in Kohler, Wisconsin the night before competition and then present at Lakeland College in Sheboygan.
